My Year Of Self Care

Self Care is like giving yourself a big hug when you need it most.  Join us for a special, special year where we focus on a new Self Care challenge every month.

WOW Self Care School is committed to supporting the wider community throughout the COVID19 health pandemic.

For many of us this is a time of considerable anxiety.

It is also a time when for many of us life also throws additional curve balls - our lives and dreams can be thrown upside down. Whether you are enmeshed in workplace bullying, workplace abuse and harassment as a target, have faced a redundancy, had a relationship break down, lost a loved one, been in an accident, had a health scare, or been affected by an economic downturn, your ability to deal with and care for yourself will be key to getting you through. Your health and wellbeing must always come first.

The program works within the WHO Framework: WHO defines self-care as “the ability of individuals, families and communities to promote health, prevent disease, maintain health, and to cope with illness and disability with or without the support of a healthcare provider”.

Start Anytime On Demand From January 1

In 2017 Sydney Morning Herald Investigative Journalist, Kate McClymont was researching a story on workplace sexual harassment in Australia post the Harvey Weinstein #metoo storm that was engulfing Hollywood and the world. It was Bridget Ninness along with other women who spoke with Kate McClymont and broke the story on the years of torment she endured by Don Burke as his senior producer on Burke’s Backyard. Bridget had taken legal action against Don Burke for the alleged psychological injury she sustained in the workplace. The matter settled.
